The Archos 80 Titanium has meanwhile an 8-inch IPS screen displaying a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, just like the iPad Mini. It measures 9.9 mm for 440 g.
The two tablets also host the same components. Starting with a SoC unspecified combining CPU ARM Cortex-A9 dual heart 1.5GHz and a GPU ARM Mali-400 to four units. It is supported by 1 GB of RAM. To maintain a low price, they cling to 8 GB of internal memory, but have a microSDHC slot. However they do not deadlock on the front sensor or the sensor back. There are also a Wi-Fi but no Bluetooth, and a mini HDMI output on the small size, but not great.
Finally, the two models are based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and embark Archos Media Center application, which supports including MKV files including video Full HD.
The Archos 97 Titanium HD is available for a few weeks at a retail price of 250 euros, the Archos 80 Titanium has been put up for sale yesterday at a price of 170 euros.
