Galaxy S IV: 8 cores CPU, PowerVR GPU and 1080p screen of 5 inches?

During CES recently held in Las Vegas, Samsung has formalized its Soc (System on a Chip) Exynos 5 to eight cores. The party will consist of four CPU ARM Cortex A7s complemented by four ARM Cortex A15.

However, when this announcement, Samsung has not given any details about the type of GPU, which is rather unusual. The Exynos dual heart 5 is equipped with a GPU Mali-type T-604, you would think it would be the same for version OctoCore. However, trusted sources indicate that the Exynos 5 Octa include a PowerVR SGX GPU type 544MP3 533 MHz.

Power VR SGX 544 The is a derived version of the 543 which is now integrated SoC A5/A5X Apple.

For now, Samsung has not confirmed the presence of 5 Exynos OctoCore within the next Galaxy S IV. It will probably be the introduction of mobile conference later in the year 2013, unless the South Korean manufacturer decided to reveal his spear during the Mobile World Congress to be held in late February in Barcelona, which is unlikely.

In parallel, Anandtech has fallen on a Samsung roadmap lists the features of the screen and release dates. Even if the names are not specified smartphones, features leave no room for doubt. The qHD screen 4.29 inch left in the third quarter 2011 is the Galaxy S2. Then come the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 4.8 and 5.55 inches ... followed by a mysterious device with a 5-inch full HD 1080p with a pixel density of 440 dots per inch. The illustration shows that this smartphone is scheduled for the first quarter of 2013.

Samsung is also talk of an energy saving of 25% with the new revision of its AMOLED technology and an energy saving mode that will reduce consumption by 47%.
It is likely that the Galaxy S IV is the first smartphone to be equipped with this new display matrix.
